hey guys, any suggetions on where i can find a wire to splice into for my boost guage lighting?
i need a wire that is on at 12v when the parking lights are activated....
can't seem to find one underneath the steering wheel...
i can't get to the wires that light up the gauge panel because i can't get the gauge panel off!!
thanks

bad idea
The dimmer is going to blow if you run wires ti dimmer ( the ash tray is relayed to the dimmer and will drain from there it may seem like a good idea but the dimmer is a big fuse and can only handle so much power being drawn from it....i blew my dimmer{ causing EVERYTHING TO BLACK OUT) and mazda diagnosed that me hooking up the gauge to the ash tray caused the dimmer to blow i bought a new one for about 200.00 bucks

There is actually switch 12v in the wiring harness under the steering wheel. But I spliced into the radio harness, which has switch, constant and light in one shot. You might try that,.
