boost gauge

hello,
Can I have a boost gauge and a stock ecu. I really want to see if my turbos are working right, but i wasn't sure if you need something special to hook the gauge too.

Dont really need anything special...just a vacuum line from the manifold nipple to gauge...and a power line so you can see it at night.....

and room to mash the pedel to the floor in 3rd gear to test the turbo transition.

The guage hooks directly to the intake manifold, so no ECU interface is needed.

mechanical: no problem, just use the free nipple on the intake manifold
electrical: same nipple, but more wires to plumb through, and you'll have to tap some wires for power and illumination (optional)
good luck.

when you buy these gauges, such as autometer, do they come with the vacuum lines and power wires you need to install? or do you need to purchase them separately....and if so where?

Autometer suck, except for their best line of gauges
You get what you pay for

In most cases, the vacuum line that comes with the gauge isn't long enough, but that also depends on where you mount the gauge and your route to the engine bay. Also, usually you'll find that the electrical connections are just short wires, so you'll have to add the proper length to the light, ground, etc. (if it's an electrical boost gauge) wires, usually a 16 or 14 gauge. You can find extra vacuum line and the wire at any parts store. It's really not a problem.
