so. i have had this problem ever since i went single,
the symptoms are as following: when i step on the gas anywhere below 4krpm, doesnt matter it half throttle or full, the car starts to shake, the boost gauge bounses upp and down like crazy. the only way for me to get clean boost is to downshift so i get 4k+ and then floor it.
WTF is this problem? it quite severally affects the drive-ability of the car.
level of boost doesnt matter, its the same if its at 10psi or at 16

 

Sounds like compressor surge to me!

god damnit, thats what i was afraid of :P
then i have no choice other than to swap out the turbo

 

What turbo are you using??? You could try an antisurge housing?
