Boost control concerns
I have the '99 twins going into the rebuilt engine and have an AEM boost controller with an adaptronic ECU. Should I upgrade the stock wastegate to run a resonated mid-pipe or just run a high flow cat? Trying to minimize boost creep.
Thanks

Ok so here is what's going in so far:
Engine has already been rebuilt By Adkins rotary. Housing where already street ported and luckily I didn't need new ones.
A/C removed, double throttle removed along with cruise control.
-SakeBomb Garage AEM / Mercury Marine Coil
-Full Function Eng Fuel rail kit w/ Injector Dynamics 850/2000 injectors
-Nippondenso Fuel Pump Nippondenso fuel pump
-’99 model Turbos and Y pipe
-pettit racing Intake Cold Air TKT RX7
-185-degree Fan Switch
-pettit racing Blow Off Valve Upgrade Kit RX7 http://shop.pettitracing.com/blow-of...-p-120119.html
-AzEKnightz’s solenoid upgrade kit
-AEM digital boost gauge
-AEM boost controler http://www.turbosource.com/AEM-Boost...4-18-30240.htm
-Adaptronic ECU
-Innovate Motorsports MTX-L Wideband
-R1 Dual oil coolers
-Banzai racing FD & Cosmo 13B-RE Oil Metering Pump Block Off Plate Kit
-Mazmart water pump
-Large stock mount Intercooler
-New OEM engine harness
Hope this helps and thanks for the help.

Port your wastegate, add the resonated midpipe Downpipes & Midpipes (93+ RX-7)
We will assume Atkins used 3mm seals, since it seems they require them on turbo engines.
Add water/meth injections for safety and shoot for 400hp. Water Injection

Port the wastegate and try the resonated midpipe. Some cars will boost creep regardless. I do not advise a straight midpipe on any twin turbo car as it gets difficult to control boost. You can also install an restrictor plate in the exhaust but thats a last resort in my opinion.

Also, since you are running a boost control solenoid, make sure that you drill out the restrictor pills that are built into the outlet nipples on the primary turbo compressor housing.
Technically you need two of those solenoids for the best performance on a sequential setup, one for precontrol, one for wastegate. When only running a solenoid on the wastegate, I find that I need to play with the restrictor pill ID on the precontrol actuator to get a smooth transition.
