You can't go down to 5-6, the stock w/g spring is set at 7.

The settings to control the boost are the bottom 2 on the left in the "boost" menu. Set them both to 0.5 and see what you get. Do you have a straight exhaust, or high flow cat? My straight exhaust makes it so I cannot control my boost with the PFC.

PFC is not efficient in controlling boost with full exhaust. I would get a good boost controller.

Not to mention if you are running non sequential, your PFC will not manage boost. Spend the $ on a electronic boost controller, it's worth is.

In my opinion the stock boost solenoids just arent fast enough to prevent spike on any ecu

Remove the pills from your wastegate and precontrol lines and see what happens.

Or just unplug your wastegate and precontrol solenoids. Both things will cause you to run at spring pressure (7-8psi).

Another possibility is to open the restrictor pill bores up to around 3/32", but that's not really adjustable and it won't solve the issue of boost spikes. You really just need a proper boost controller.

is this true? :o
didn't knew that.

Btw, the PFC can control boost with full exhaust IF you get the boost control kit right? it would be just like the AVCR right?

If Dave said it then you can pretty much count on it to be true.

other than boost setting, turn the boost duty cycle % down on your PFC

even if u set boost at 10psi, if % is too high, ur still gonna overboost

The PFC can control boost just like the stock ECU. However, just like with the stock ECU, the stock solenoids can be a little slow to respond which is why Electronic Boost Controllers are a good mod.

Yeah, i know. What i was asking is IF the PFC with the Boost control kit (same solenoids has the ACVR) can control boost as good as the ACVR by itself. The solenoids are the same so it would only be a matter of processor speed??

I'm not entirely sure the PFC with the kit replicates all the same functionality of the ACVR. However, it will be able to control boost as well as about any other EBC.
