Bonez High-Flow Cat Inner Materials?

Just wondering if anyone knows what the Bonez High-Flow catalytic converter internals are made of. I heard the Knight Sports high-flow cat is made of metal mesh so disabling the idlespeed control valve wouldn't fry the internals of the cat.

I have the Bonez and wanted to know if the inner-materials were the same or can they be damaged with a disconneted idlespeed control valve (which in turn disables your airpump).
