bolt size for holes under bins?

I've tried a M10 bolt with every thread pitch and they're just a little too small. They screw in, but as soon as it gets tight it skips threads. I tried an M12 bolt and it's way too big....so if anyone could shed some light on this it would be great. Maybe I'm just missing something. WHAT SIZE IS IT?!

BTW, this is the holes on either side of the tranny.

If the holes you are talking about are the seat belt mounting holes for the rear seat, they are the international standard seat belt size: 1/2" x something I can't remember or find right now.

nope, there are 2 empty threaded holes under each bin...one on each side. They have a rubber plug in them though, those are the holes I was talking about.

Yep, they're for seat belts on FD's with rear-seats. Standard SAE seat-belt size.

I agree those are the seat belt holes for a rear seat set-up. I just installed mine today and the part number of the bolt is D5-65. (used 18mm socket.) Are you putting in a rear seat?

Yeah. This is the hole I used to secure my batt ground. Exact same thread as the seat belt.
