blue/white smoke

i changed my oil about 500 miles ago. i decided to go full synthetic. ive been lucky before as far as leaks go, but i guess 17 years old was just a bit to old. so pretty much all of it leaked out, it happened quickly within the last 100mi ( i dont drive it much so it leaked while sitting in the car port). i noticed the oil pressure dropped to bout nothing while i was driving, so i stopped at advance auto parts for oil. i went with conventional. i started it after filling the oil, and it smoked pretty bad. the smoke under the hood i think was from the oil i spilled while filling it (it was bluish), now my current concern is that when i started it after filling it it was white (it looked like a cloud), and a lot of it. coolant leak that is a directly related to no oil or a coincidence. or an unrelated problem.

any suggestions?
