Ok I have a 94 FD with a 13B-TT, I thought I blew the motor up but the other day I started it up and it runs, however when I approach boost it falls on its face... The throttle repsonse is terrible, however when I was driving it around I did get it to boost 6psi, so I was wondering what your guys take was on it? Is it blown or not? Someone else justed that I just fouled the plugs.

Run a compression test if you want to know for sure.

Change the plugs and look for boost leaks if you want to look for easy stuff first.

Sounds more like a boost leak, you should be able to boost up to 10lbs with a stock ecu. The car will perform like a dog with what your talking about. Check the couplers before you waste $80 getting compression test you may not need. Also if it idles nice and smooth it more then likely ok.

Well I pulled the plugs today and the plugs on the front rotor are golden brown but the plugs on the rear rotor are fouled and smell like fuel

If it starts up and idles fine then it should be blown. Like other have said check for a boost leak. Sometimes reseting the ECU can also fix issues with hesitation under boost.

I have also been bitten by the split hose bug. Do a compression test any way. That way you know what you are dealing with.

compression tests tend to always be worth the small amount of money (relatively with FD's) they cost. they give you an idea where your engine stands as far as wear is concerned.

boost leaks are also a common problem with 11-15 year old plastic parts.
