Blown Ecu?? Help!

Alright guys heres my issue. The weirdest thing happens when i turn on my FD. It stays on for maybe a minute or two but then suddenly shuts OFF and the blinkers begin going off and on continously as if the car were possessed. I was told to check ALL my fuses, which i did and replaced them all after finding a few were blown. But problem still continues so was told my ECU may be blown. YOU GUYS HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT MAY BE?? Thought id ask you guys for help before i went out and bought another ECU. Thanks in advance.

I dont think it is your ECU. While I am no expert, I've never seen someone here complain of a blown ECU. Its probably just a grounding issue.

Well see...this is wat happened. Some "genious" tried jump starting my car because the battery died out. But he connected the jumper cables wrong (positive was on negative and negative on positive)....when that happened it blew most the fuses and the car wouldnt start. I then went ahead and replaced all the fuses and the car started up just fine. Then about 10days later or so it started doing the whole "possessed" thing. I was also told it could be my harness? dunno....

BLUE94FD....what do you mean alarm malfunctioning? Because after it shuts off i do hear something like an alarm going off near my fuses.

Have you checked the voltage output of the alternator with the car running? It should be 13.6V or so. The genius who jump started your car may have fried the alternator diodes.

Since the car won't start at all, your best bet is to take the battery to an auto parts store and have it recharged. Most places around my house will do this for free.

It wouldn't surprise me if your alternator is broken, but you'll need to check this when the engine is running. To check the voltage, get a cheap multimeter (check RadioShack, or Sears' electrical tools department). The multimeter will have instructions for how to measure voltage.
