CA Block off plates for non-seq

Did you guys block off the Double Throttle Solenoid as well? or leave it? or is it not needed?

Thanks.

PS. If anyone is in Socal and wants to help on an twins swap/install within the next 2 weeks. It'd be greatly appreciated.

isn't socal the kind of place where you don't want any blockoff plates visible at all? If you plan on passing inspection I would be very careful with what you remove. The ACV and airpump for example will be needed to pass a tailpipe test. If you don't fully understand what something does, read up on it before you remove it.

The double throttle system is designed to keep you from being able to go WOT when the engine is cold. It really has no effect on driveability at all. But again, I know Cali inspectors are very strict.

Here's what your going to do:
1. Move to Arizona.
2. Buy the Banzai Block-off Plate Kit.
3. Remove EVERYTHING except ISC and run the airpump straight to cat.
4. ????
5. Profit.

paying off emissions isn't an issue. I'm going non sequential. And both of you didn't answer my question.

So does this mean that you never found a definite solution to our strange under-boost problem? why did you decide to go non-sequential?

it is the definite solution furry. But Im picking up a rich mans non-sequential setup...and I found out that I don't need that solenoid with that set up. Which I planned to do anyway. Made no sense to pay to have something fixed thats being removed. But yes... you need a double throttle solenoid. That's the source of our boost issues/irritating noise.

well actually, before i go and replace it. do you think that simply disabling the double throttle would also fix the problem?
