Blitz SBC ID Boost controller setup

Hi everyone,
I got the car from Japan with Blitz SBC ID already in the car. It is connected using version 1 from picture below.

In the OFF position on controller, my boost pattern is 7-5-5.
Does it seem right? Or pattern should be different and I need to find reason before setting SET/GAIN on Boost controller?

What other mods does the engine have?

My ECU is Apexi PFC, but I’m waiting for commander to be delivered. Apexi Power Intake, Greddy SMIC. Car still has catalytic converter.
It came with all of this from Japan, and with boost pattern 7-5-5. I changed vacuum lines and spark plugs and wires. I added T after both solenoids for turbo control actuator (pressure and vacuum) and it seemed fine, I tested turbo actuator with pump and it seemed to move ok.

I posted this, because I started to wonder if that’s just how it behaves when Boost controller is on OFF position and I assume whole pressure without any pills is sent to wastegate.

I had the same setup to my slightly modified 1992 March FD R1 back in 1994.
It worked OK but with too much initial spiking for my liking.
After switching to the dual solenoid, it worked better.

do you remember how it behaved not setup at all? Did you have similar boost pattern to mine?

I installed it after installing a Greedy stock mount IC and RB cat back and high flow cat. I also went Apexi PFC at the same time.
Did not like the transition from 1 to 2 turbos with the spiking.
After much testing, this was my solution for best smooth turbo control.

(1) Blitz Dual solenoid with boost pressure source after IC and before TB. Was taken from the Greedy aluminum TB elbow which was tapped.
Thus it sensed real boost to the TB since the IC has restriction.
(2) Small brass water valve in the pre-control hose with pill removed and not connected to the Blitz. This allows best pre-control control.

I used this even after going single turbo in 2005. The unit died about 2020.

I think the problem is your setup does not have a source for pressure to bleed of from the solenoid output as your picture only show a one way solenoid with only a input with only 1 output.
Thus it can not bleed off to control boost.

I’m still waiting for my commander to arrive and I didn’t plan to drive the car during fall/winter, so it is stationary for now.

I removed the cat, it was cracked in half and blocked the flow of exhaust gases. After installing a sport catalytic converter, the car came back to life and I can finally experience the real pleasure of driving my FD.
