electronic boost controller

I need to get an electronic boost controller for the current setup on my car, I'm getting some crazy boost creep if I don't pay close attention. Can somebody lead me in the right direction where I can get a good electronic boost controller. I don't relly know if a certian brand is better than an other. Any help would be great.

Thanks

You do know that a boost controller can only raise boost and not lower it, right?

My boost is set at 10psi but if I keep the pedal down in a 5th gear highway run it will start to creep past 15psi...I know this is bad and I don't want to blow my **** up. I was told a boost controller would hold the boost wherever I set it. is this not true?

Im guessing that you have an S4....

Port the wastegate...this will reduce or eliminate boost creep

and Im curious...you have your boost "set" to 10 psi and you have no boost controller...?? Did you give 'er the old schrader valve trick or something?

Well, the first thing you need to know is that a boost controller will not HOLD your boost at 10PSI.

A boost controller can only raise your boost from where it is when you dont have a boost controller. The reason you are boosting so high in 5th is because you dont have a ported wastegate.

Basically there is 10 PSI building up in the turbo and when the wastegate opens it isnt big enough to let that all out fast enough so 11 PSI builds up, then 12, then 13, and so on.

You NEED to port your wastegate, and then put a boost controller on and set your boost where you want it. No need to go to an electronic boost controller as they can be expensive. A simple MBC that can be had for around 10 dollars will work fine.

Oh, and with the MODS in your signature I'm surprised you havent blown up your car yet. Boosting that high on a stock fuel system??? NOT SMART...get a 255LPH pump, 720cc injectors, and RTEK and you will be safe...what your doing is not a good idea and I would stay out of boost if I were you.

I bought the car with the current setup. I didn't do anythig to make it stop at 10 psi, the previous owner told me not to boost over 10psi and that's what I've been doing. Oh yeah....what is RTEK

RTEK is a brand.. I'd look at a Apexi AVC-R or comparable..
Search for how to port the wastegate or twin scroll or something of the like.
What mods does the car have?

To the original poster. Be VERY careful until you can port the turbo's wastegate. This should be your next 'available weekend' project. If you've never removed the turbo before, give yourself the better part of the day to do the turbo removal, WG porting and turbo re-install.

You WILL blow your motor if you continue to drive the car hard with the boost creeping like it is. Honestly, with the stock fuel system you don't want to be running more than 9psi or so, to be safe.
