blew my differential

let me tell all of you my day yesterday. i wake up at 430 in the morn for work, work suked. but after work i come home expecting to see my differential bushings and wheel bering i ordered. it wasent there but it came a couple of hours later. so im happy at this point at like 700pm me and my boy started to put them in we had a hard time getting them out but after about 2 hrs we had the old bushings out we used a vise to press them in, it worked great. we were working against the clock too cause we had tickets for the 1000 show of 2 fast. so me and my friend bolt it back together and put in a differential brace the i had bought from this guy on this site. after we finished it was time for a test drive. i put it in first and drive up the block it felt realy tight i was happy. then i stop and go to leave a patch and boom there goes my rear. i cracked my housing and blew my gears. i dont know what it was that caused it but i think it was my gears in combination with the fact that everything was tight. not to mention i have a 6 puck disk. whatever when something breaks upgrade.

Were you putting in a stock one and was it brand new or used? You didn't forget the fluid right?

He might have meant fluid in the diff, but thats just a stab in the dark.

And if vosko has only broken one like yours broke and he's pushing 530-540hp (probably) at the flywheel, then that one must have been in rough shape, or something went wrong.

Sorry to hear that though man, maybe thats one way of fate telling you not to show off.

basically the PPF doesn't support the diff or trans laterally *side to side* that is what the braces do.... they are solid bolt from the diff to the body and from the tranny to the body. my tranny brace was custom made by jr's rotary performance. i got my diff brace from japan.... krxrotary2_7 is selling his own style of diff braces which are INCREDIBLY beefy.... they weigh like 30LBs.... lol

rotary: are you the guy who met up with me the other day? didnt you tell me that you really should NOT have been diving that car because the rear was ALREADY so bad!? you drove it from NY to Philly and said the only reason you did was because its the only car you had available but the condition of the rear should have stopped you from driving???...
i know it was not the brace that did this to your rear, and if you think it is, i will refund your money. i am sure others will tell you it was not the brace.
