BIG Brake Kit

can any of you guy recommend a big brake kit for a 3rd gen. rx7. like brembo or stoptec. I dont want to use endless. also can you find a big brake kit that will go in the rear too. I dont think they have brembo rear kit as well as stoptec.


A link and pics would help alot.

Pettit big brake kit is AWESOME! Maybe not the best looking, but performs super! I think they go for about $2100 with everything. 13" rotors, huge hawk pads and best of all designed to work with the stock master cylinder. Most are just big kits for other apps that someone made brackets to fit. Cam designed his to work with the stock 16" rims and master cylinder. Check out their web site Pettitracing.com for more info.

Search for brake kits...lots of info. IMO, the Stoptech is the best kit going for the front, especially for the money. The smart choice for the rears is the 99+ Mazda OEM brakes.

If you get the 99+ rears, you should order the Stoptech's with custom piston-sizing to match the larger rears. Talk to Dave at Zeckhausen Racing - www.zeckhausenracing.com

BTW, larger brakes are not necessary and will not improve your braking performance unless you are running hard on the track regularly.

Yep, braking 101.

It's the tires compound and width that make all the difference. Huge rotors are merely heatsinks . . .

I heard a car salesman saying that low-profile tires make it stop faster . . .
