Run them Non-sequential.

Edit: I didn't see the sequential part. You'll have to upgrade the fuel system and increase the boost a little to reach 320.

Dont wanna ditch the sequential part . i just love it
Reason : i live in a town and most my playing is short slow roads (i know i know lecture me ) so low end boost is nice.

If so then would 4x850 be ok ?

with 4 850 you might have problems idling unless you have datalogit

you can do 550/1300

what octane level do you have available?

you can also get upgraded twins if you wanna keep sequential mode.

Go with 1300cc secondaries instead.

I run on 97-99 octain (ron+mon)
Are there 1300cc injectors that will fit the standard rail ?
I rember reading somwhere that to fit 1300cc injectors you have to do a lot more than just swap and tune.

You should have upgraded the injectors while the motor was out. You will be limited to 12 psi, 13 psi tops. 12 psi on a stock port motor with all the bolt ons is about 310 rwhp, +/- 10-15 rwhp. Lots of variables.

I still don't understand the point of these threads....just get the damn thing tuned and see what it makes then.

Like i stated in the first post im just curious as i cant get a tune till feb.

U never wonderd what people thought when you was adding all these mods of yours, im sure you did and asking aint a bad thing it kinda passes the time i guess, also its taken me a 16months to save up and add these mods and in all that time iv never asked just wonderd as i cant afford to tune everytime i add somthing, i think at the point im at now i need to get it dun but cant afford it til feb.

1.The main point is if i get it tuned and it comes back 250rwbhp then how do i know its been dun to optimum. At least i have a bench mark now of maybe 280-300rwphp and can ask it be checked. i know i know its not always a bad tune that makes crappy power it could be a lot of variables including shoddy workmanship on my motor and a bad engine but im fairly sure i have a good engine, my engine was rebuilt in japan, after contacting our importer in japan he toldme its one of the best rebuilders out there (forgot the name.. my bad).
2. if my target is 320 and i have to get a tune if i can afford to get the relevent mods ie. injectors before i get it there then maybe i will make my 320 and not be to dissapointed.

All that in mind i dont think this is a wasted thread for me, maybe pointless for everyone else but thats what a community is about "sharing knowledge"

Am i wrong ?

My advice is to not set a target. Decide how much boost you are willing to run (and have the mods to support it), get a conservative tune, and live with what you get. People are too obsessed with numbers. Most of which are somewhat meaningless anyway. I laugh everytime I see someone claiming that they dynoed 400+ rwhp and then can't even trap above 115-116mph in the 1/4.

Since when does running non-sequential at the same boost level produce anything other than more lag? As for all the talk of changing injectors, fuel pump etc. He is only looking for 320 whp, not 400+.

I had similar mods as you, the only major difference is I was running the Pettit ecu instead of PFC, stock injectors, stock fuel pump, stock twins. Up the boost to 15 psi (78% inj duty cyc), dynoed at 350 to the wheel. Actually been there, done that, good day.

You're putting words in my mouth. He said he wanted to stick with the twins. All I said is that 320 hp is more easily attainable running non-sequential due to the fact that you can increase the boost safer (no transition.)

As far as the fuel upgrade goes, I'm glad you saw those results with the stock fuel system. However, I would never recommend anyone run 15psi on stock 850s. I don't care how novice you think I am.
