bolt hole covering tape??

Anyone know what kind of tape it is that mazda used to cover the extra bolt holes in the engine bay? After foaming my frame (closed cell don't worry) I want to cover the holes again with something that will stay put and cover the foam that is now visible. Any suggestions? I don't think duct tape will stand the heat. It looks kinda like friction tape, but i don't know if friction tape is as sticky or will hold up as long.

Hit up http://www.mcmaster.com and browse through the tape. They have specs on everything, so finding the heat range and everything should be simple.

Thanks for the link but...

I was planning to buy the tape from McMaster anyway. Just looking for info on what "kind" of tape people thought it was... I want to avoid buying 100 bucks worth of 7-15 different tapes then experiment to find out which would work best. Just wondering if anyone had experience or reccommendations on the type of tape that would work best. Possibly someone works in the industry or has experience with specialty tape other than say Duct tape or electrical tape.
It seems to me that the most critical feature is that it is extremely sticky and will not peel up off the painted surface. Also it would have to be somewhat weather resistant in order to remain in good shape in the engine bay. If it came in discs like the ones mazda uses stock it would give a better finished appearance as well.

Yeah, it kills me that there's little dumb stuff like that where you know Mazda had reels of THOUSANDS of them, yet they're impossible to find. Same goes for raw electrical connectors and GOOD JIS metric bolts. I have a feeling this crap would be a dime a dozen in Japan.

Some sort of rough-textured tape would do as a good stand-in, I'm sure.

Try heating duct aluminum tape takes heat very well and has very good adhesive.
