sorry, i have no experience with these. but the ill-effects are that if you are running too much power and too much traction, you could blow out your rear diff and/or axles (major $$$).

Have fun..You'll break something sooner or later anyway
I run nitto drag radials but I think there all pretty much the same.
They will help your wheelspin to greater degree than actual 60 foot times but keep in mind .2 tenths
at the line(vs.street tires)can mean .5 tenths in your et's.Get the tires and a launch kit if you want to drag race

The worst thing about BFG Drag Radials is that they are only available in a 255/50/16 for the stock rims which is rather large. The 555R's are available in the stock size which keeps all your gearing the same and also can wear for almost 15,000 miles on the street. Track racing will be completely different on the wear. The lauch kit is a little too agressive for everyday street use so I am going with the M2 Trailing Arms and Toe Links and also a differential bushing kit to help eliminate wheelhop.

Take it from experience, drag radials suck *** on a FD, get a pair of M/T E/T streets, they won't hop like radials and blow the rear out, plus give you great traction.

...and with that added traction, you will break even more parts.

Take it from someone who actually drag races with both, BFG drag radials and Mickey Thompson ET streets. I still have stock axels, but do have a Kaaz diff and have yet to break anything. I also have never had a problem with wheel hop even when I had the stock diff and stock suspension. Key factor with the BFG drag radials is to drop the pressure to 15lbs, do a healthy burnout and launch at around 5800rpms. As for the Nitto's, they plain suck for drag racing. I never got below a 1.89 60' with them. On the otherhand, I have got as low as a 1.69 with the BFG's and a 1.5 60' with the ET streets.
And you won't break anything with the drag radials. If you do start to get wheel hop, just get off the gas.
With the ET streets, if you have a **** load of power you may break an axel. But unless your pushing 500rwhp, don't give it a thought.

I used BFG drag radials on the 'Cuda I used to have. Granted that the stress issues don't really apply too much on that car as they would on the FD, but as far as traction went, they were awesome!

Hi ErrieT...

Wow... that's great that you've never broke anything.
Are you still squential? I am looking forward to the track this year. Just got the Kazz in before I parked the car for winter. I still am squential and about 350 - 360 hp.

I have used the M and H's and got a best 60 ft. time of
1.67. launching around 7000 rpm. But unfortunately broke the diff. last summer.

How do the ET streets stand up down the track. The M and H's were all over the place I felt like I was on ice at times the back end was all over the place.

thanks for the info... jc
also the the ET streets come to fit on a 16" rim?

Yes, the ET streets fit right on the stock rims.
No, Im not sequential anymore. I went single turbo over the winter.
And you'll love the Kaaz.....just make sure you use Kaaz diff. fluid.

hey..kaaz users
is it really streetable?
i keep hearing different things
some say it sounds like the car is falling apart when you tun at low speeds, others say its quiet as the stock.
What about driving characteristics in general?
thanks!

Hey Astro...

The Kazz is streetable... Only low speed turns is the rear end noisy. And backing out of driveways. Quiet on the straights.

How the new engine coming?

send me a PM. thanks jack from"edmonton"

And ErnieT: How are the ET's as far as stability down
the track? Does the back end sway around?

Uh wheel hop is what destroys FD rears, NOT HP, unless you're making more that 550RWHP, even then, the axles are the next part to go bad, just thought I'd clear that up.
