Question Best plug wires?

I am about to order some new plug wires. What is the best to go with? So far I know of NGK and magnacore. What is the difference btw. the 8.5 and 10mm magnacore? Thanks

Do a search on this subject but to sum up most people like either Taylor or Accel. Some stick with stock NGK. There have been reports with problems with the Magnacore wires, especially the 10mm ones.

I just replaced mine last night with some Jacobs. The fit was good, but I haven't been able to drive it yet...

The Magnacor fit fine. Damn I hope there really aren't problmes with performance i just changed my wires last week. The Racing Beat ones I had were arching...expensive waste of money.

What problems have people had on the Magnacore. I did a search but didn't really find much.

Don't tell me i just blew money on the 10mm wire and the Earls Flame Guard i wrapped around them.

Word has it that Magnacore wires have higher EMI and can thus interfere with your computer, radio and other electrical systems. I have said this before but their resistance is higher than other brands too. Based on this I decided to visit Magnacore's web site to get their take on all this. http://www.magnecor.com/ I mean they must be able to back up their claims of a great wire some how right? Anyway they admit higher resistance flat out however they claim that resistance has nothing to do with a good wire. Maybe true... maybe not. They claim that EMI suppression is the most important thing and on this I would agree. So I thought... if they focus so much on this why are there reports of their wires causing problems that sound like they are a result of EMI? Well their entire web site is very defensive of their product while blasting others so naturally this is addressed in the FAQ under "After I fitted Magnecor wires, my engine runs worse than it did before!" and another possible cause of the reported problems under "Why are sparks jumping from boots and cable jacket?" The answers to these customer concerns point the finger at the customer stating "In almost every instance the problem is caused by improper installation of the wires..." Well my question would be why don't other wires have these problems and if the problem wasn't a frequent one it wouldn't be on their FAQ ("Frequently" Asked Questions). So maybe it isn't EMI but there is a problem. Maybe the wires are fragile and prone to damage during install. I really don't know. Anyway I'd invite you guys to check out their site to decide for yourselves. We should all do a little more research on our own. It's great to share info but none of us know it all. Personally I think this forum is a great place to get started but as you can see even this small subject has a great many different opinions. Get some ideas and then do your own research. You might even find something better and be able to share it with the rest of us. Anyway along with Magnacore here are the most popular wires with prices and resistance (if that matters). Personally even after reading Magnacore's web site I'm weary of buying a set. I hear of problems, I see that having problems is a FAQ and they cost more. It doesn't add up for me.

MSD 50 ohms $50
Accel 150 ohms $20
Taylor 400 ohms $20
Stock NGK lots "O" ohms $Too much
