Best Place for Tan Seats in 2024?
I have been wanting to recover my tan leather seats for a couple years now. I had a friend that went with the Rx7.com seat covers and was impressed with how well the color matched. Well, Rx7.com is either no longer in business or Ari is figuring his life out, so they may be off the table.
Who is the best game in town from recent years? I got some samples from Rides.com, but could not find a color that matched to my satisfaction.

I found the same thing with Rides.com & a bunch of other vendors out there - NONE of them have a close match to the tan leather in terms of color & texture. If you're switching to black or even red, you got more choices. Even the set I got from Ari isn't 100% identical to OEM tan - the color is pretty much spot on, but the surface texture has a bit more grain to it than the OEM ones, which have a smoother surface texture. I prefer the aftermarket texture over OEM, because my butt doesn't slide around as easily during spirited driving.

That might have been me, I ordered my tan leathers from Ari almost 2 years ago. If you can still reach him on the phone, I wouldn't hesitate to order from him, assuming he tells you he can still get them for you. When I ordered mine, he told me upfront it may take a few months to get them from his vendor (it did, almost 3~4 months IIRC), but he promised not to charge my CC until they shipped and he was true to his word on that.

I have been thinking of having a shop that I deal with make some seat covers in black leather, tan leather and R1 style. There is such a market for great quality seat covers but none of the companies that sell them currently are up to my standards.
