Benjamin & Vosko---Separated at Birth???
I wrecked my car the other night. Actually, some dousche bag wrecked my car. Someone told me Vosko wrecked his car, and I should contact him about insurance dealings, and I came across his black one while looking for a new one for myself.
Seriously...What are the odds?
Vosko--should you come across this, and wouldn't mind me picking your brain for a few, please PM me your phone number. thanks,

Mine doesn't look to be as bad as his, and my frame is smashed. On the first quote, topically, without even pulling the wheel to look for suspension damage, I was at over $9k in damage from Progressive. His looks worse, IMO.
If I part it, I've got anything you'd need. Send me a PM to keep in touch, and we'll work something out in the next couple of weeks.

Don't part them!
Buy them back from the insurance company and sell them to me. Seriously.
I'll fix them like new and save your FD. Check out the pics! Of another FD I saved. It can be perfect again.

sorry about the car man. That is so disheartening to see. I always thought that car would be mine again someday! Gimme first dibs on anything you want to sell.

Damn. I'm sorry that happend Ben. It's like bunch of bad drivers decide to take a cruise when it's raining and all slick outside. I hope you can fix it rather than part it out. It just so happens that you hit the side with that headlight cover with intake duct on it.

That's a masterpiece of work. One question though, and it is a tough one. Would you trust the repairs at speeds in excess of 150mph? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just would like to know if subframe replacements are equal to (or better than) OEM spec?
Thanks

I agree except that if you think that our cars keep us safer at 70 than at 150, you are mistaken. In either case you are more than likely to be a stain on the roadway. However, I want to be as sure of a repair as I am of OEM capability.

I don't see why it should be any different than new. Remember bodywork is HIGHLY dependent on the work on the repair person or shop. If they do a bad job you'll get a bad job...
Many shops wouldn't have replaced the entire frame rail, they would have spliced on the front section. I would NOT trust that type of repair because the frame rail is actually several layers thick in some places. When spliced together they can't weld the inner layers together.

Oh and I DID NOT do the body and paint. I just did the mechanical R+R. I don't have a frame rack w/ laser alignment or a paint booth.
Labor and paint on that repair was $2400 from the shop. The paint turned out perfect, the car was repainted from the doors forward. You couldn't tell it was a repaint unless your in the bodyshop biz...
Let me know if you guys want to SAVE those cars. They are repairable. I'm SERIOUS!
