I had it towed to the body shop today. The main passenger frame rail is twisted, leading him to believe that the lower subframe is bent too. In addition, the steering rack shifted over, and may not have enough room. Ergot, there are thousands in repairs that weren't noted on the insurance guy's original estimate (including any possible suspension damage).

Mine is totaled. No offense, but I regularly see speeds over 140ish, and I have no intention of trusting anyone with those repairs (although Jeff may be the person who would be able to salvage the vehicle properly).

I'm going to try to buy the car back and part it out, as I parted out a MB earlier this year. Please don't flood my PM box with requests, though, as I'm not 100% sure if that's the course I will take. Should I decide to part, every other piece in the car is in near pristine condition--It was one of the cleanest I've ever seen.

Vosko--go ahead and shoot me your number along with a good time to call. I've got 5 days to present my case to the ins co. thanks,

-BN

damn, sorry to hear about that. good luck and maybe buy it back and make a profit or something. lots of good parts there.

if it makes you feel any better I like the Silver/Black better than Vosko's Black/Tan combo.

Just repair the cars! You guys have found your way out.

Especially, Vosko. How much the insurance would sell the car back to you? hey, I wanna buy your parts, but, damn, I want MORE seven on the road.

Good luck to you,

POM HB

I know someone who wrecked his FD doing 140+mph, flipped the car, landed upside down, opened the door and got out just fine. Just because the car is small doesnt mean it isnt built to withstand crashes well.
