WESCO or any other Miata replacement battery. Only problem is they do not last very long and you may need to keep a trickle charger on it if not used regularly.

If its a street car I'd always say red top, the smaller batteries tend to be not as robust.

The PC925 fits in the bin, without cutting the bottom out.

I am looking for a battery to relocate to the rear bins as well. I currently have a PC680 that is not installed. I am concerned about the longevity/starting power of this battery as I do not daily drive the car. I wonder if the PC925 is the solution...

Comparing the specs of the two batteries:

PC680

680 cranking amps for 5 seconds
595 cranking amps for 10 seconds
525 cranking amps for 20 seconds

25 minute reserve capacity with 25amp load

PC925
925 cranking amps for 5 seconds
870 cranking amps for 10 seconds
765 cranking amps for 20 seconds
675 cranking amps for 30 seconds

52 minute reserve capacity with 25amp load

Anyone have any insight into comparing these two batteries through real world experience?

We have had great results with the PC925, however the PC680 not so great. We have one customer that has fried 4 of them. I can not figure out why he keeps buying new ones. I personally had starting/cranking issues with the PC680.

Any issues with the PC925 Banzai? What are you using to hold down the battery?

That is a customer's car. The battery fits in the bin snug, can't go anywhere. We have quite a few customer's using the PC925 without any issues
