Base vs. Touring

Is there a big difference in interior height from the base vs. touring models?

Yes, vehicles equiped with a Sun/Moon roof will have less headroom.

It is slightly noticeable. It may be due to my height (5'9), but I hardly notice a differance between the two when it comes to clearance. I do however love the dome shape of the interior and the nice little double bubble roof that you can notice if you look directly straight from the top.

is it safe to assume that the models with the sunroof don't have the double bubble roof?

They do, you can slightly see it in the pic of my car:

It's not really that pronounced of a feature to begin with.....

I am 5'10. With a helmet on, I don't fit very well in my (sunroof equipped) FD. WIthout the helmet I am fine. With a base model, I would be fine with the helmet.

I am between 5'11" and 6' and I fit fine in base model FD. However, with a helmet on, it is much more confined. Nothing major if you daily drive but there is a noticable decrease in movement on the track.
