Bad Voltage Regulator? Battery Charge Light at > 3,000RMP's

Every time I rev over 3,000 RPM's, all of the warning lights and my Battery Charge light Illuminates.

I've been monitoring battery voltage and it is in the 12.3-14.1 range at idle. But it goes to 15.9 when I rev. I think that's a bit too high and the reason why the battery light goes on.

Any Ideas? Could it be the voltage regulator? Or something else?

Thanks!

The voltage regulator is inside the alternator, correct? So I suppose I'll have to swap guts of the alternator since mine's all polished!

I'd have to look more closely at the FD alternator, but a friend of mine had to change the voltage regulator on his Prelude and it was just attached the back of the alternator. No need to take it apart.

Fixed the problem. It was just a loose alternator belt. So if anyone has this problem in the future... check the belt!

well, I kinda fixed the problem. Now the batt light comes on at 4-5,000 rmp's. Suppose I should check the pulley tightness.
