bad factory paint

i know that many of the early 93 fd's had tsb's for bad paint jobs due to falty clear coat. my fd falls between the dates and vin number that the tsbs were issued for and the clear is cracking and flaking. the previouse owner was not aware of the tsb and therefore did noting about it. my question is has anyone in the last couple years got a free paint job from the dealership due to the falty clear coat. i am aware the mazda set money aside for this flaw but i dont know what kind or results people have got when it was confronted. it has been quiet a few years sence 93 but from my point of view it was a falty paint job in 93 and its no different today. any feedback would be great.
thanks

14 years of wind, sun, rain, snow, sleet, salt. I highly doubt you will get a free paint job. Different story back in 93 when all these new owners just dropped 30 grand on a sports car and their paint is falling off, then you can def get a freebie.

maybe im wrong tho?

I don't think there is any way in hell you're getting a free paint job after 14 years.

I'd agree with this. I wouldn't want to be the person to ask about it either.

If you were the original owner and purchased it new from a dealership where you have diligently spent gobs of money for maintenance and repairs over the past 14 years.......I think they'd still turn you down. They just wouldn't giggle until you left the room.

Give us a break, paying for a 15-year old paint job? Thread CLOSED.
