bad clutchslip, I think!
drinvn full throttle from 2nd gear,3rd gear then 4th gear all of a sudden
the car wouldnt go any faster an i was only on 4000rpm and smoke started coming up from the transmission so i slowed down then pulled over and stoped checked to see what was wrong had me beat,so i drove of an everything seemed ok,could it be a bad clutch slip or somthing else?

You may want to check the free play in the clutch pedal. There MUST be some free play or else the clutch will slip. I knew a guy on his 3rd clutch in under 70k miles and it turned out he had no freeplay. His prior cluch was likely just fine. I have never worn out a clutch. But I tend to replace them at...opportune moments to be on the safe side.
