bad clutchslip, I think!

drinvn full throttle from 2nd gear,3rd gear then 4th gear all of a sudden
the car wouldnt go any faster an i was only on 4000rpm and smoke started coming up from the transmission so i slowed down then pulled over and stoped checked to see what was wrong had me beat,so i drove of an everything seemed ok,could it be a bad clutch slip or somthing else?

could be. could also be smoke from 2nd turbo.

how old is the clutch?

Take it to mazxda dealership or a mechanic you trust. Dont drvie it until you get it checked out. If it's your clutch it will get worse and worse.

its stiil orginal clutch an turbo are only 6mths old

Sorry endless, but based on your description, this old "Winger" is voting clutch. If the smoke had an odor like hot brakes, then you can pretty much be sure.

When the clutch slips, the engine revs yet the car does not accelerate properly. It is easier to detect in taller gears.

You may want to check the free play in the clutch pedal. There MUST be some free play or else the clutch will slip. I knew a guy on his 3rd clutch in under 70k miles and it turned out he had no freeplay. His prior cluch was likely just fine. I have never worn out a clutch. But I tend to replace them at...opportune moments to be on the safe side.
