backfiring, Need assistance
Yes i have searched, Lets start off with mods: 94 touring with Stage 3 streetport, Emissions removal, T70 single turbo kit, FMIC, Koyo raditor, full block off plates, 1300CC secondaries, PFC.
Well we it was running fine this morning but idleing at 700-1200RPM, TPS check is good, and now I tried to redo idle with the AAS and AIS, i followed the factory manuel. So we took off the intake elbow and played with it, i got it to idle between 700-750 more or less. I sit back in the car and all i hear is POP POP POP out of his exhaust, PFC still reads fine so i go to the engine bay and followed all the vacume lines and plugs were plugged in. it pops w/e the engine moves RPM's at all, taping the gas or even brapping(portjob) at idle
So we swapped over MAP sensors and it still ran the same, it feels like limp mode. So i grab a can of brake cleaner and spray the block off plates, nothing happens, then i spray the rear nipples and idle goes down and dies out. Then we started it back up to confirm where we were spraying it and the rear nipples are going to the FPR, and MAP sensor. We take off the vacume lines to pressure tests it to see if it leaks, no leak.
Now we do surgery all over again, ripped off the UIM replaced all the vacume lines and caps with new ones held on with zipties to make sure it was a tight and secured fit. throw everything back together and walla, we have the same problem, and it still reacts to the brake cleaner, it dies out and everything, on my FD, bolt ons with PFC reads fuel pump at 3.5V's while his reads 2.5V...i think 2.5v wont cause it to backfire like that. The leak was still there, anyone have any other ideas?
we been tackling it all day for this stupid little issue and we shall continue tomorrow. So everyone please post what else it may be, we need ideas.

try lowering the PIM volts for that RPM range in the PFC... it's worth a shot. If you have a wideband you can obviously monitor fuel at idle. But I wouldn't worry.. if it's too little it'll die, and I've never seen a car blow at idle, haha.
You can also try adding/removing fuel in the specific cell and the 8 surrounding. See if that works at all.

Leak at UIM ends?
Sounds like the UIM is not sealing at one of its 2 ends - the end near where you sprayed the brake clean.
Or, something you moved while removing the UIM is leaking.

i know that much lol, should i JB weld all the nipples to be safe and make sure it will not have a crack in it, or could it be the Throttle body, i sprayed in the front nipples to and it also reacted to the brake cleaner.
need more ideas!

you can try and pressurize the system from the intercooler piping. Someone sells a little kit where you put it over the pipe and it has a nipple to hook up a compressor and gauge. Then you just pressurize the system and hunt down the leak.
There are tons of places it can leak so it's hard to diagnose. But spraying the brake cleaner will help you find some of them.

Well update so far: still backfiring but still tackling it at full, replaced more stuff on the LIM this time, IE: more block offs and replace vacume lines.
