Backfiring and erratic idle

I've had quite a time with my car this past year. Here's the next issue: Under light to med. throttle (cold or warm) my car is backfiring like crazy. A 2.5 mile ride = 6+ loud "pops". Also, after warming up my idle drops to just above 600 rpm's adn varies up to 800 rpm's. I know this is within acceptable levels, but for the last 5 years it's been a steady 900 rpm's. This did all happen after installing a used fpd and new 500 cc injectors. My PFS Purple computer is always set at the lowest setting and I have not changed any settings whatsoever. Read my sig for my other mods. Any ideas? Thanks.

My FD always makes poping noises. Is that bad or something? I don't know.

Sounds like the problem im having. But my car stalls at start up. rpm goes to 3 and drops to 500 stall. Still have to take it to the shop. Ever think the poping could just be fouled spark plugs?

500 cc injectors? backfiring probably means you're running a bit rich. change the spark plugs and see if that helps.

That could be it (richness), will have to take some readings off my keypad. But, my plugs do have under 750 miles on them. But, guess I'll take them out and see what they look like.

I am getting an 0200 error reading whick is a spark output fault. I did install a used leading coil pack a couple of years ago, maybe it's starting to go???

Naw...... no luck yet. Also my idle fluctuates after the car is at norm opperating temp. Forgot to do my plugs though. Might try that tomorrow. I'll post an update by Sunday.

New leading coil pack installed, no luck. ALSO had a fuel cut or something like that at 5k rpm the other night, totally bogged down. Gonna have to give up and send it to Mallory or something soon.
