Really? Well thats why my insurance company asked me if the car was a, and I quote,

A) "2 door or 4 door?"
B) "2 seater or 4 seater?"
C) "a 4,6,or 8 cylinder?"

I told the woman it was a rotary and she asked me "what is that equal to?" I told her it was a 1.3 liter so now, accordng to my policy, I own a,

"1994 mazda rx7 4 cylinder!!!!"

The lesson is,
A) insurance company's don't know **** about cars.
B) it WOULD LOWER MY INSURANCE because I have euoted it!

thanks,
-josh

I have a complete rear seat set-up and didn't have to drill new holes. Although the car did not come with a rear seat once you pull the rear side panels off you will see that the car has all of the hole there to do the conversion. All you need is a 14mm bolt just loke the front seats. The only thing mine doesn't have is the cover for the seatbelt bolt.

Let me know if you need a picture and I can go snap one.

I am just wondering how much the seats are and also how hard it is to install them. Is it a one day job or a week job? I don't like the bins at all and would much rather have two seats that may be put to use one day.

They go anywhere from $300-$500 for a complete set-up. The one on ebay is only the seats, for an identical stock set-up you need the side panels, seatbelts, carpet and tranney tunnel cover. Mine was about $500 shipped for all of that.

It took me 2 hours taking out the old and putting in the new one...only because I did it alone and it was like 95 degrees out. So inside the car was even hotter. It was quite easy to do. Just used a 10mm, 12mm and 14mm and screwdrivers I was all set.

for how hard it will be to get a good set. i'd say it would be worth it to get that set from ebay. unless the price skyrockets on the auction.

yes, the JDM tunnel does fit. The difference it is it shorter than ours. So then you need a small piece of carpet to cover the difference. I opt'ed to sell my JDM and kept mine. The rear seat then sits on top the the tunnel it lifts it a bit but not too bad.

Yeah shipping is up there...mine came in 3 boxes. BIG ones not heavy but large because the shape of the panels and seats! They used DHL which they said was cheaper than greyhound. Good luck. I miss my bins sometimes but love my seats.
