By Baby,I'll miss you ..3:14pm. eastern time.

Well I went out today for a little blast, the 7 was sitting for over a week now.I made sure she was warm before opening it up.So after the ride I was headed home,4 blocks away, when it started to idel really bad the vac was jumping around like crazy, and black smoke was coming out. Then it just died. I started it back up but held the gas down to 2500 rpm's so it wont stall. And made it back to my house.
I'm pretty sure it is an apex seal.I have the boost set at 10psi, x.s. boost controler and the pfc is set at 10.I didnt spike out. Since it is so cold. Now i'm thinking if I should just seel her very cheap, I dont want to drop 5,000 for an engine.
So what does everone think? Is the motor gone?I'm about to jump in front of a bus!!!!!

MAP sensor. Black box, driver-side firewall. Make sure it's connected.

Sounds like it could have let go. How many miles were on this one?

A new motor is not neccasarily $5k. You could get a stock reman for 2.5k and just do the swap yourself. It's really not that hard.

Who tuned the ECU?

I would check over the car (vacuum lines, gaskets, etc) until you can get it to a shop for a compression test. With a compression test, you'll know for sure.

Okay I would just like to take a moment to point out this VERY LUCKY and RARE situation...

We know how often it isn't this simple..

Go have a drink radiant, you should feel relieved.

p.s. Have the PFC dyno-tuned with a wide-band O2 sensor. It's the only way to be 100% accurate.

Haha, there's a reason everyone always brings up the MAP sensor hose first....

Glad it worked out for you.
