I don't think a stock automatic tranny would be strong enough to take the power.

u need a tranny work from levelten. automatic fd not meant to race, much more like a tourin car. wouldnt recommand a manual swap or lvl 10 kit to be put on also, waste of money. i did the lvl 10 and it's worthless, i will gain more with the same amount of money u puttin in a stick FD

Sell yours and get another. I was in the same boat 2 years ago after I went to MADS and decided to mod my car. I looked at the upgrade paths for the automatic and they were all dead ends. I sold mine fairly quickly, found a stick in a couple weeks, and have been modding it ever since.

WOW! Merry Christmas all you haters! I have a single turbo auto with a level 10 tranny. It's plenty fast. Happy New Year!

Yeah, dude here in town from Tiger Racing also ran low 10's on his auto. **** lifted at least a foot off the ground when he launched.

If selling your car and buying a stick FD seems like too much of a hassle then go ahead and do the swap. I went through the stock AT and a LVL 10 on a stock motor and turbos before I did the swap.
Rotaries are made to spin freely, AT's are not by comparison. Add a single turbo and your AT will be crying for mercy.
The swap was not as big a hassle as everyone says on here

Well my level 10 has held out for a good long time now. Not sure if rotaryextreme still has his level 10/single or not, but he ran his for years before mine. Sometimes it's not the equipment it's the installer. It's much more expensive, however, so if your friend is low on cash, then tell him to sell and get a stick.

for some reason, ive seen alot more motors blow with the auto tranny more often than the manual. im not sure why but i think it has something to do with not alowing engine to spin like the manual. i like manual myself, i think auto is boring compared to stick, nothing like banging out those gears

also the auto shifts down when you dont want it to. i dont like it, its for grandmas..... just playin guys!

auto trans loses more hp to drivetrain loss. that loss is transfered as heat-so a lot of autos end up losing the rear rotor, which has heat and lean condition problems anyway.
