Ok Zyon13B, as a new member and a computer ignoramus I don't know how to do that. As an expertand long time member, would you care to tell this novice how to use te search?

The search button is at the top of the forums and is worth its weight in gold for information.

Please dont think I'm being a complete dick, just a smartass is all. :p

Whilst I was searching for info I found quite a bit was left unanswered in some of the threads... I started my own to fill the voids with answers and once my swap is complete I intend to add a bit of info myself if I can.

Search Results:
https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=216019

Here are the most helpful and some of the less helpful links to look at:
AT to MT Swap:

Auto to Manual Harness Conversion:

Good luck, it is a challenge to complete but well worth it.

Thank you very much for your help JaNusSolSumnus. I see what you mean, it is very helpful. I am lucky in as much as I have a wrecked manual 91 car, the same age as my auto, which had a losing argument with a Mercedes! Hopefully I'll have everything I need.
Thanks again.

pfgasket,

If you have the complete swap with a parts car, the conversion is fairly straight forward from the mechanical side. The Auto Rear end can be left or converted over to the higher gear ratio manual for quicker 0-60 times. The conversion will take some time, but an average or above average mechanically inclined person can achieve it with just the shop manual.

Email me direct if you have any questions. The hardest part is the harness interface. The one post listed above is mine and It works. Just use the manual engine harness coming into the car, then convert the small intermediate harness to be the auto to manual changeover harness. Pretty simple after that, just plug and play.
