Question Australia - What trim FD is this?

hi i just want to knowr if someone can tell me exactly what trim this car is?
its says bathurst type r and the guy recon's it has the 208kw and bigger brakes but i'm thinking its more like a RB, RB-S or just a Type R. is there anything on the car that says what trim/model it is? in the vin number or anything ??

car doesnt have carbon handbrake, gear *** which i thought came with bathurst models.

FD3S-604216 Type R 280hp with 16inch wheels
FD3S-604217 Type RB 265hp with 16inch wheels
FD3S-604218 Type R 280hp with 16inch wheels
FD3S-604219 Type R 280 hp with 16inch wheels

Those are the 5 Innocent Blue Mica RX-7 models with the VIN "FD3S-60421X" . All of them were produced March 18, 2002. The car you posted sadly isn't a Bathurst model.

That's what he is saying but the car for sale isn't a Bathurst R like stated in the ad for sale.

From looking at the pics again. Its either a RB-S or a type R
The giveaway was the RB's had no wiper. But since the vin check determined it was a Type R so it has the 280ps motor. But not a Bathrust R.

Kinda pricey for $35K American but 18000+ miles isnt bad.

It's not a Bathurst R, it's an R Bathurst....they're different models, believe it or not.

In the last months of FD production, only four models of FD's were being made. They were the Spirit R Type A, B & C and the Type R Bathurst.

Here's the Press Release for the Type R Bathurst:

If you're chasing any info on any Series 8 FD, come see us down at FDRX7.com

I have all the model info and can decode any VIN.

Cheers.

Funny you mention that. It states it in the description, but the title is wrong.

It's a very common issue with that car sales website.

The sellers can only choose the model of the car they want to sell from a drop down menu.....and the menu is written by some bonehead who knows little about the FD3S, obviously.
