ASP large fitment tips?

I could use some. IC and all are a tight fit but it works. The duct is sitting too high up though, so the hood can't close. I'm sure you guessed its hitting the rad fan shroud. I've got what SR marketed as their "ultimate radiator" a few years back which is really just a koyo.

Can anyone comment on how much and where you can shave the fan shroud or any other tips to get the duct to fit? Also, what fans have worked best and info on mounting. I've got a fan I had on my CC2 but it's not big enough for the asp.

here's a pic of the current setup with the asp large for comparo

Hrm, I have a Koyo and ASP / M2 Large and didn't have any problems really.
After seating and reseating the radiator and duct everything just magically fit.

I had a Koyo & ASP large for a while; there was no shaving needed (although lining the duct w/the intercooler sometimes took a while to get perfect).
It looks like your pass side fan motor is sticking up unusually high.... Any closeup pics of that area?

i'll go snap some. i did shave the shroud down a bit more and the hood closes, but not with the hood support in. it looks like the previous owner shaved down the fan shroud before. i'll go snap some pics. thanks

if your hood doesnt close because of the hood prop. an easy fix for me was the tein hood damper.

my duct also hits my fans and makes the right side sit up just a little.

thats more of a workaround than a fix but acceptable. if it comes down to it i'll do that. hey, is it possible to get the IC back in without removing the y-pipe pipe to the IC? i was able to get it out with it on but it doesn't look like i can do the reverse which means re-removing the strut tower bar.
