Angry arrg! whats holding me back?

arrg! everytime i run my car its around 0-60: 4.6 and i dunno the 1/4 mile shouldn't it be faster for what i got and it gets 180 miles to a full tank of 91 gas on the streets and 260 on the freeway im only pushing 10psi til i get my car tuned for the mods so i don't blow her

so whats holding me back?

Unorthodox lightweight engine pulleys

Blitz turbo intake {cold air conversion in the making}

Heat wrapped Downpipe

Midpipe

Greddy Type-S BOV

stock muffler

HKS type-1 turbo timer

PowerFC ECU

Autometer A/F meter

Autotechnics Boost guage

kumho ecsta supra 225/50/16 in the back being replaced with 245/45/16 bidgestone fuzions ZRi in the next new days

Goodyear eagle GT+4 in the front being replaced with 245/45/16 bidgestone fuzions ZRi in the next new days

Where are you getting the 4.6, 0-60 time from? G-Tech?

180 street and 260 highway?! Holy crap that sucks! I almost have same mods as you but I get about
200 street / 450 highway, but thats when I push it to get the most out of gas. But if I drive with some punch I get about 180 street 380 highway, and thats with left over gas in my tank too. O and btw 4.6 0-60 is pretty fast my friend. I too would like to know where you are getting your times from? if its from a stopwatch then you are gonna make me laugh.....

Don't bother comparing times until you can get a worthwhile method.

Regardless of what mods you have if you get that badboy tuned correctly, it's very possible that you could get stock level gas mileage. You really need to lean it out under light loads. Hell with 80k original miles, I get 270 mpg in the city and 400+ on the highway.

the borla xr1 is a muffler that is welded into the midpipe
it has been used for 25 years the exact muffler in racecars porshes etc
it makes my car quiet to the point where you can hardly tell its on from 10 feet away and only takes away a few hp

also gets rid of the **** rotary sound

The RacingBeat cat-back seems to be a nice improvement while not too hard on the ears. I fully intend to get it once I start modding more.

holy crap that mpg is horrible! lol

last time on the highway, i got 144 miles on a 1/4 tank with some boost here and there, so lets see 144 x 4 = 576 miles per fill up.. wait, that seems wrong..

576 miles divided by 20.1 gal cap = 28mpg

wait, that seems right

austinsFD, Fd is supposed to have a 20 gal fuel tank, but when I fill it up(low fuel light on), I've never gotten more than 17.5 gals in the tank. I've never run out of gas either so I'm not really sure how much gas is really left in their. I always calculate my milage based on how much gas I actually get in the tank.

ulost2my7, Remember just because the gauge says is has 1/4 left doesn't mean that it actually has that much in the tank. In most cases it's just a referance point(doesn't mean it accurate).

Read your owners manual. It clearly states in there the FD comes with a 20 gallon tank. I'd scan it if I had it at work with me.

sounds like an O2 sensor or something wasting your fuel....I agree with freeway milage of 400+ per tank....driving conservativly

it was an estimate

and yes an fd does have a 20 gal capacity as stated in the owners manual and from experience

my buddy's 94 had a cracked gas tank, he replaced it, pushed it up the block (about 50ft ) and filled it up and it read 19.7 gals or something..
