Question Apexi turbo timer install question?

Yes I searched, but still not quite sure on installing.

I have the Harness from the RX7 store.

The 3 extra hanging wires. Where exactly do they go. One is a ground, parking, and I am not to sure of the last one. Where exacly do you hook these up?

I read to put it under the steering wheel, but I thought I was suppost to connect it to the ECU. Thats what the directions look like. Although I havent looked at my ECU yet. Was trying to figure It out first.

Maybe I am crazy or stupid I just dont want to mess it up.

Help me out guys. How long should this take me?

ok here you go, under the steering wheel there is a plastic panel, take this off (hint, you must take the little acess panel off the side to get to a screw) now this is where i used little skinny screwdrivers, look up and you will see the iginition harness coming down the underside of the steering colum, right under a metal brace you will see a white connector in the harness, you must slide the red thing out to unlock it then pull it apart, it is tight in here so be patient. then you plug the harness in between the two facotry plugs. now for the 3 extra wires, one is ground one is to the ebrake and the other one goes to the o2 sensor. some run it to the ecu but i ran it through the fire wall and spliced it into the wire coming directly off of the o2 sensor, now if you got any more questions just ask, scott

It is for the O2 sensor. Unless you have the old style which I don't think they make anymore.

someone HAS done it before... hehe, u use this to find out how:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/search.php

i've answered this a few times in more than one thread, but anyways i'll answer it again. the harness has one extra white connector that u don't need to connect to anything. on the timer, the white wire goes to the o2 wire, the grey wire to the parking brake, the black wire to the ecu ground...

Damn Potato...you beat me too it. This was the turbo timer I had before. I didn't like it because I couldn't just push the button and turn it off like I wanted to...but my new Greddy one does

I've got the newest one...whatever that means...

It's the one that Dragonz818 is referring to. Really small design with a built in a/f meter.

With my greddy, I can push a button and it turns off immediately...but with my old apexi, I would push the button to the left to turn it off, and it would take about 2 seconds, then shut off...
