Anything to do before swapping 929 master to JDM brake booster?

I'm deleting my ABS and got the JDM brake booster and 929 master. I'm gonna go ahead and put the master on the booster and wanted to know if there was anything I should I before install? Also, would it be ok to install the brake booster upside down? I'd like the vacuum port to face the engine and b kinda hidden when installed. Just wanna make sure before putting the master cylinder in. Of course I won't install the master upside down. That should go without saying but I know someone will think I'm crazy.

Any reason you are using a JDM booster or do you just happen to have one? You are going to have to get some brake line stock, a flare tool, and make a line to install the 929 master.

I'm just curious is there anything, like a seal or gasket, I should replace before putting the 929 master on the brake booster? Just wanna do it right the first time. It looks straight forward but I wanna be sure when dealing with a different part.

I've read the JDM brake booster is better than the USDM brake booster. I just wanna install it 180* from its original position. Is this ok? I've seen it done on other vehicles but wanna be sure.

By JDM, do you mean the later, shorter brake booster? There is a rubber seal on the back of the master that you could replace, but yours is likely to be fine tbh. Don't see any reason why it couldn't be installed upside-down, its just a vacuum chamber & the bolts will line up fine... Make sure you cut the one-way valve out your current hose and put it in the new one.

the rubber o-ring should come on the 929 master.

Thanks for the info guys. I know this may have been a dumb question but if I wouldn't have asked I would've always wondered.

So.... now I am curious. What are the advantages of the different brake booster?

If it is smaller, I want the part number so I can get one right meow.

Where are you guys finding your boosters? Mine just went out and I haven't has much luck finding one. I would rather keep a usdm one but I'm not against using a jdm one. I will be doing this same exact swap next weekend as long as I can obtain a booster. I already have the 929 master.

Hoping someone knows a good source for the smaller brake booster.

Are there any other options for low profile or smaller brake boosters?
