For anyone with wiring experience...
Here is the scoop.
I upgraded my secondary injectors to 1600's and need to wire in resistors. I want to wire them in close to the ECU to keep them out of the engine. Will there be any down sides to doing it closer to the ECU versus in the engine bay near the injectors?
I have a picture included of what I believe to be the two wires I need to splice the resistors into as well as a schematic showing the injector wiring colors.
I am pretty sure this is what I need to do but I want to get the thumbs up from someone that is a bit more "wiring savvy" than myself.

Locaton in the circuit should not matter ... just pick the correct wires
You should be able to test each wire with a multi meter (from underhood to in-cabin) to ensure you are on the correct wire.

I am not sure of the answer my self, but one way to check, is look at the injector clips under the uim. if its the same color and you dont see any duplicates inside the harness, then my money is on the ones you selected.
Definite answer: double-check with a multimeter to make sure. FSM says the front secondary injector wire will be LG/W (light green / white stripe) and the rear secondary injector wire will be LG (light green without any stripe).
Get your meter and measure resistance between the wire on the injector clip and the ECU (you might need to add another wire if your probes don't stretch long enough). If the resistance is very low (less than 1-2 ohms) then you are measuring the same wire. If you measure something higher then you are probably measuring the wrong side on the injector clip or the wrong pin on the ECU.

4X and 4Z are the correct wires for the secondary injectors. We always install the resistors inside the car at the ECU, just to keep them out of the harsh environment under the intake manifold.
