Anyone running upgraded twins SEQUENTIAL??
I know artguy and captbill are running the M2s and like them but most of the guys running the BNRs are running non-seq. Anybody running the BNRs or other upgrades sequentially? Just curious as what others have experienced with the larger compressor wheels in sequential mode - NS is a bit laggy - full boost by 4200 rpms with the BNRs but great power potential. I know some turbo rebuilders have had some bad experiences rebuilding the HT-12s but with 20,000+ members, someone had to have some decent sequential hybrid turbos somewhere. 5 years ago I almost bought a FD with PFS upgraded hybrid twins (seq) - he pulled down 375 rwhp at 1 bar on a non-ported engine.

there is someone in NY that I spoke to that has BNR's running non-seq. Says it runs like a raped ape. Don't recall his name. I believe he also had a street port.
I have a question, although I have stock turbo's I am interested in learning about the rationale of running seq. I had a modified 300zx TT (seq from factory) that I didn't enjoy. I would like to know do you get more horsepower over the powerband in general? I know you get to remove the rats nest but that is about it.
thanks.

Garfinkle runs up graded twins sequentially. Good low end good upper end .at 15lbs boost on the street. Turbo Engineering built them. Turbonetics did the first set ,they had an apex seal exit through one of them . they will be repaired one day.

I had stock turbos setup non-seq for a while and didn't really like it - you hve a little more hp and torque in the powerband (4K-6K rpms) but you don't gain any peak hp. It does implify things and you'll have far less boost problems. Aslong as your sequential system is working correctly, there's nothing like it.

ive run my m2 set both seq and non seq. I cant stand laggy non seq...I like my power now..asap..fun fun fun...I drive my car on the street...seq is the only way to go for city driving.
do a search...this topic has been hammered into the other m2 upgrade/bnr/upgraded twins threads.

I've heard of dyno results with the BNR stage 2 twins run sequentially and they put down 430 at 17psi. I didn't see the sheet to back up that statement, but I feel it's believable.
