Anyone running a resonated mid-pipe with RB dual tip catback??

I was wondering if anyone was running a resonated mid-pipe with the Racing Beat dual tip cat back. If so, how quiet is it?? Right now I have the Racing Beat dual tip with a dp and mp, which is a hell of a lot quieter than my old Greddy PE, but I want it quieter still. Basically, my ultimate goal is totally silenent (like stock) at idle and low rpms (like when just cruising through my neighborhood or in a parking lot) , but I realize that is probably not possible. I like the louder sound at WOT, but at idle, I think it sounds like ****. So how close to silent would this be at idle and low RMPs??

I am, and the reduction in Db's was significant. (not stock sound though)

also do a search, you should end up with a lot of good info on the subject, including the new metal substrate cat threads.

I used to have the RB older model Dual Tip CB and it was louder than the new one that my friend has.

Did they add more baffles or something?

Thanks for the link. If I understand your post correctly, you would be within the legal limits in CA. Do you have any idea what the stock db level is (or a rough estimate)??

Also, can you comment on the quality of the sound after you installed the resonated mid-pipe with the RB exhaust as compared to before the resinated mid-pipe.

I too am running the Pettit DP, Pettit resonated mid. pipe, with the Racing Beat Dual tip (newer model) Even at idle it doesn't sound stock, 3k drone at highway speeds is not bad at all, next to non-existant. WOT this thing does come on. Not that bad in the car with the windows up but if the cops are around they'll deffinate notice.

If u run the Edelbrock Tru-flow muffler or Moroso Spiral Flow as resonators, it will be quiet during crusing and idle, with a slight hint of modified exhaust.

However at WOT it just sounds like a Ferrari.

BTW, I gave up on the RB Dual since I needed something that sounded more exotic, and deeper.

http://www.4zoomers.com/zoomers_exhaust_tips.htm

I used 2 of the Universal tips with the Edelbrock Tru-flow.

I am within the legal limits. At least at idle, and maybe cruising. However, you have to remember that I am running a single turbo, so this will be a much louder set up from the get go.

With respect to sound someone else already mentioned it, but I will add. The car is very quiet at idle. There is just a hint that the exhaust may be modified. While cruising the interior cabin noise is now bearable, compared to my old setup. Drone is not as bad. When you get on it The exhaust comes to life, and roars. I love it. No overkill at idle, bearable while crusing, and killer at WOT.
