Anyone really notice a difference between M2 Med/Large IC?

Thinking of upgrading (the Large just looks soo damn cool), but I have heard that I won't be able to tell a difference other than the Large takes longer to heatsoak.

The M2 large has a larger pressure drop. I forget the exact figure.

The pressure drop is no longer true with the new M2large...just look at the later right-ups of the sports compact project car...

I just hope Kevin Wyum...and I guess we should call them ASP intercoolers now....chimes in. I am just waiting for the refabb'd pipes that clear the airpump better. (better fitment is good for me)

With the recent emissions tightening in Texas....visuals are suppose to be taking place...

You're not going to notice any hp gains when foing with the M2 Large - they cool about the same. The Large has a little advantage when it comes to cooling but only by about 6-7 degrees from what I remember. The M2 medium had the best pressure drop of any IC (only .5) - I've not read about the new M2 Large having equal pressure drop but have heard it a few times. There are many 400+ rwhp FDs running around with M2 medium size ICs or similar copies - M2 Large looks awesome though.

I have the M2 medium and I don't think the large would offer much of a difference. Either one will suffer heat soak so if that is an issue, I would go with a front mount.

Aside from the heatsoak issue, once I'm up and running at normal speeds of at least 40MPH or higher, (out of the bumber-to-bumper traffic I deal with here in California), the M2 medium works great, even to the point where I'm actually surprised . Without being too exact or scientific, the IC inlet pipe will be fairly hot, say 140F for example, and the outlet side will be oh, I'd say, about 5-10F above the current outside air temp. In other words, the outlet pipe is almost cold.

Therfore, either go with the M2 (now ASP) Medium or else go with a FMIC. The headache of relocating the battery (and other details?) of the M2 large are simply not worth the un-noticeable difference.

Just my $.02 though.
