If oem or better and Im in. Contact one of the better companies and get them with a heavier pile and a rubber heal pad on the drivers side.

http://www.ggbailey.com/

high quality pile, serged edge, heel pad, custom embroidery = $95 It wont be verticle but higher quality is better than verticle logo imo. With group buy maybe get it for $70?

Come on guys $50, what the hell you expect???

and you guys ramping and raving about the OEM matts???

I went thru 2 sets covered under warranty, and my 3rd OEM matts werent'
any better. I dug holes in the driver side with my heel, and eventually
the bottom of FLOOR MATT (foam material like ) eventually dry rotts and
flakes... Would like to know what the BOTTOM material is . Hopefully
rubber or plastic, anythign else eventualy DRY ROTS.

Count me in BLack with SILVER.

Ok I'm contacting her to see if she has a thicker material available, and we'll go from there.

Slingshot, that's what I'M saying. The mat in my car now IS a high quality mat. There's a nice big hole in the fabric where my heel is. If you guys don't have the same prob, it's not that you have better mats...it's that you don't drive your car enough

Also, I just wanted to remind everyone that at least MY main goal of this was to get RX7-fit mats with the RX7 logo on them. Not generic mats and or blank mats.

I simply thought it would be a good idea to see if anyone was interested in these mats, given that we all want ones that have the RX7 Logo on them, and the OEM ones are pretty much a no-go. So you guys let me know if you're game or not, cuz for me, I don't care whether we get these cheap ones, or we get upgraded nicer ones (if possible). I just want the logo It's your call guys.
I'd say go for high quality.

If she can produce a high quality, similar or better then OEM matt, even if the price is higher I'm definately in.

This is what she said:

"Hi Ramy,
I have a heavier grade of carpet but the price is up there. The carpet is berber and the face weight is 42oz, it a loop pile vs. a tufted pile, VERY DURABLE. The cost for a set of RX7 mats is $99.95. The backing would be the same, but feel heavier because if the carpet weight.
Anne"

I emailed her back asking for the group discount price breakdown, and if she had any pics

Sounds good. Hopefully she can deliver on the pictures as I think that will give everyone a good idea of the quality since I'm sure not everyone is familiar with a "loop pile vs. a tufted pile".

Let me know if you need any help getting this group buy organized FDNewbie if everything does come together. I always have lots of spare time to waste on the forum

EDIT: maybe get some pics of color swatches as well since there are 1000's of different shades of blue, red, etc...

I got pics and a price breakdown, but due to a billing glitch, my VillagePhotos account won't let me upload anything for a day or so. Can someone host these 3 small pics for me? (still too large to upload).

Thanks

I'm will probably be in as well.

-What is that backing made out of?
-Could she possibly sew in a heel piece to prevent wear in that spot?

I can host your pics... check your PM's

Not to be ****, but seriously, I'm not trying to customize this too much unless this is something the overwhelming majority has just gotta have. Also remember this is only gonna increase the cost... As for the backing, she called it "berber with loop pile." Don't ask me for a translation LOL. I thought Berbers were a North African tribe...

Ok guys, here is the breakdown on the berber mats:

$94.95 1-5 sets
$89.95 6-10 sets
$84.95 11-15 sets
$80.95 16 sets or more

I think that sounds pretty darn fair. I emailed her once more just to confirm that this is the total for the berber (aka upgraded) mats in the color of our choice, with "RX-7" embroidered in the color of our choice (see the first post for the colors available). Once I get the final okay from her and you guys, I'm gonna take names and order specs, and iron out how we're gonna do payment and shipment etc. Of course, the first step would be to get Jason to approve this GB...

And now, for the pics

Thanks
~Ramy
