Exclamation Anyone interested in a group buy on 3rd gen floor mats WITH the RX7 logo (any color)?

Hey guys

I came across this by accident the other night: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7949051750

The mats come in 7 colors; Black, Beige, Brown, Maroon, Dark Grey, Grey, or Navy, and they come with the "RX-7" embroidered on them. You can also choose from 5 colors of embroidery, white, silver, black, red or blue. (If you ask me, the RX7 logo in this one looks better than the OEM one too!)

As you can see from the pic, they look like an exact cutout for FD floormats (so no crappy sizes/fitment), and even include the hole in the driver side floormat to secure it in place.

I already talked to the seller, and she informed me that not only can she make multiple sets, but she'd be willing to take a group buy as well. This was her reply (to a group buy request):

"If I may make a suggestion, I have done this several times before and this seems to be the best way to handle it. You send out an email to everyone explaining the deal, they email me and Cc:you so you can keep teack of the orders as well. I take the orders for a given time, say 2-4 weeks. At the end of that particular time I count up the orders and let everyone know what the price will be. The price will be based on a volume discount. Here is what I have offered in the past.

$61.70 1-5 sets
$58.45 6-10 sets
$55.21 11-15 sets
$51.96 15 or more sets.

If all your friends live in a specific city I can combine the orders to save on the shipping cost. Otherwise, I will need their zip codes to determine individual shipping cost."

Any of you guys interested? Esp. seeing that the OEM ones are no longer made and very very hard to find?

I'd like to see a comparison of these to the stock mats. I seem to remember reading that the Ebay mats weren't of the best materials - that could have been another vendor, though, or just some dumbass comment I read .

I wish someone would do the RX-7 logo JUST like the stock logo, though.

Anyhow, I think this is a damn good idea. I know two local FD guys that might be interested. My stock mats are still in good shape, though .

Dale, I'd love to show you the mats, but I don't own them, nor do I have any affiliation w/ this lady. I just saw the mats, and initially I was like "hell yea, I'm buyin it" lol then by accident I saw at the bottom a Q and A she publicly posted that said "Can you make multiple sets? Yes" so I figured, hey, why not get a GB goin?

I also have the OEM mats, but I don't wanna use 'em anymore haha

I'd just want to make sure they're of good quality and not cheapies. Might be able to get some better pics of the material from the lady, or a statement of how they're made, thickness, etc.

Could you ask her if she could get closer to the OEM font instead of the generic font that's on there now?

Something more like this (was the best pic I could find on the forum in 5 mins..)

Can you see if she'll send you a swatch. Then you can check the quality of the material. I would be in for a set.

I would be interested as well (assuming the material is good.) I'd prefer the oem font, but either would be fine.
