Here's what happened. I keep my car inside my mothers garage. I went to her and pulled my car into the driveway so I could get all of her Christmas stuff out of the attic. I was too tired to pull my car back into the garage so I left it out for the night. I came over the following night to push the car back into the garage because we were suposed to get snow that night. I noticed the damage as soon I walked upon it. Actually, my wife noticed it first. Mom lives in a great neighborhood so this is odd.

Man, you leave your car out for one night. I don't understand some people. I am suprised nobody saw anything.

I would also go around and get several estimates, not just from Don. That way your insurance guy might be more apt to give you the full amount for repair.

I live over on Pennsylvania, which is just a few blocks from your house and I frequently leave my FD out all night. Vandals seem to be an increasing problem in our town. My bimmer was keyed at the metro station and some kids broke my fence along the alley in the back of my house.

Did you take it to Don to get an estimate? He should know the ins and outs pretty well. Sorry to hear about it dude. Maybe you should stop taking kids lunch money?

Exactly. Every insurance company I know of does this. The insurance company bases your policy on the car's worth and if you're not forthright about the parts and modification invested in the car then everything is ok.......until you try to claim all that stuff. Of course the insurance company is going to balk at $$$ custom paint and body panels etc. They based their rate on a factory car and if the car owner didn't inform the company of the true value of what he really wants covered than shame on him.

My present insurance company had me stop by their office when I signed up so they could inspect the car for previous damage. Seeing the sports car they specifically asked me what I had added to it and I explained the short list of work I had done. Rate didn't change in my case.

I don't expect them to pay for a new cwest bumper and scoot hood. I just want them to cover a new oem hood and bumper.

Talked to the adjuster. He's trying to total my car out. Anyone know how to explain the increased value of my car. I've got over 35$ (mods) in receipts alone.
