Anyone have experience with Mag Power oil filter

My buddy got one from an auto show out in LA. It's for RX-7s. Anybody use this type of filter before? It looks high quality. I did a search and came up with the picture below. They go for about $18 a piece.

i used the power enterprise mag. filter the last oil change and i didn't see much of a difference. it might save an older engine(mine is a reman with 13000) from some shavings. i can't really see the worth of spending the money with a rotary engine since there is far less metal to metal contact then a piston engine. most people on this forum as do i just stick to the stock mazda paper filter.

Yeah, I don't think it's worth the extra cost. I run Purolator PureOne filters - very high quality, easy to get, and about $4-5 each.

I got a free one so I figured I would use it. Thanks for the input. I'll go back to regular filters after the next change.

FRAM filters absolutely suck. Use ANYTHING else...OEM are very good. In fact, I thought that someone on the forum had once shown conclusive evidence that the OEM ones ARE Purolators...
