Anyone have body waves?
Not sure what it's called. I'm sure you guys know what a straight body is? When you can look down the body of a cleanly waxed car and see no waves or mysterious dents. Well, what cause those waves in the metal? Nothing has touched my car but I have these waves all over. It's not in the paint, it's in the sheet metal.
Anyone know what causes this? Hard driving, etc etc?

Leaning is pretty bad. You never know when you drive on the highway and stuff crap falling from other cars. Also I have dings on my drivers door and passenger door from *** holes hitting the car when they open their doors and hit my car.

My are surely cause by small hit or someone leaning on the car before I had it. I woudl kill the guy who leans on it now. Anway I hope to remove them all by the end of the year. Already removed half of them and contacts have been made just yesterday with my sprayer to remove the rest.

Nope, I just car complete repainted! Let's see how long it lasts.
I used to have then on the front fenders because i used to lean on them while working on the car

the stock sheetmetal is very thin and dents extremely easy. but seeing the amount of body work done to the car, it was most likely in part of the body shop. it takes a lot of time sanding and filling and sanding to get a car really smooth. you might be able to take it somewhere and have them wetsand it until it looks smoother. my car seemed to gain a little more waviness after the paint was done, but it'll be going back in for a good wetsand and buff soon
btw, did you buy that car off eric? or are you eric?

Gargamel,
It sounds like there has been some paint work and/or body work done on your car and there was insufficient or improper prep work done before they painted it. "Blocking" a car in preparation for paint gets rid of those telltale waves that you see looking down the side of the car, but it's pretty tedious and labor intensive. It's likely NOT in the metal, it's in the paint and primer that lie underneath your current paint surface.

I know what he's talking about. It's not flawed paint, or bad prep work.. And it's not from people leaning on it. I'm not sure exactly what it's from, but it's like the car is twisting on hard launches and warping the panels. It's waves. Not dings or dents.

Not sure what's caused it.

i have some too..... its just the sheet metal that fourms waves over time from leaning and just regular driving.... when you go up a driveway slanted or a dip, it does that and over the course of 10+ years, you get those waves when you look at the sides at an angle.
