THE NEW OWNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have been buisy getting the dyno reinstalled and
replaced many old employees. The manifold is manufactured and sold under
Xcessivemotorsports.com All manufactured parts will be sold by under xcessive
by shops including Groundzero. Ph# 503-256-3278 I had to keep everything quiet.

I picked up the GZ/Xcessive LIM yesterday from Ralph. Hopefully I'll have time to install it, and do some tuning. The old tune was a rough 10.8-11.2 a/f ratio. We'll see what it looks like after the new manifold. I can't wait to see what it runs like! Thanks again Ralph. CJ

Not to get off track, cause I really don't know. Does the cooling system flow past the front housing first, thereby allowing higher temp water passing by the rear housing, which would make this discussion about intakes irrelevent?

UP....up.up

What single mani fits? Is this an upgrade? Would you only need 1 fuel rail?

This should fit turbo manifold that the stock LIM fits. Some people have had to grind a little material off the first bolt area but besides that it fits. You can use the stock injector rails or an aftermarket with 2 or 4 injectors by just drilling out
the aftermarket rail for two extra injectors. Ralph

How about this: Anybody know if a newer "A-spec GT-40R kit" like the one modrx7 is selling in the 3rd gen for sale sec For Sale Thread will have the same fitment problems with this LIM. I asked the question in a pervious thread and I sent a PM to modrx7 with no answer.

Later, Jeff

I had to do some serious modifications to make it work. I will post pics later.

He did post pics and had to cut the **** out of the turbo could the mani be moved forward?

Well I whent to the drag strip this weekend. It was a awesome weekend for racing. Blue sky and 70 degrees....in Oregon!! Anyways, I smoked a SS, a new GTO, and a STI. Lots of fun.

The best my car ran was a 12.6@115mph with a 2.1 60ft time, launching the car at around 3,800~3,900. I even short shifted from 3rd to 4th at 6,800rpms because I thought I was going to run faster than a 12.0 (I was way wrong. ) My last run of the day I realy nailed the launch and turned a 2.0 60ft time, and was 2mph faster than my 12.6 run at the 1/8 mile.....but I missed 3rd gear and hit 5th. That realy sucked. I'm shure it would have ran a ~ 12.4ish at 117ish. But what was realy cool, was I did this on 11psi and on my stock sized street tires. No drag radials or anything. I could'nt be any happier with the car now. Its nothing but a joy to drive, and making 300+rwhp at near stock boost levels. Now its time for a new ported motor, then have Ralph tune the motor for 20+psi!

later, CJ

Here's to bumping up an old thread ...

I'll be trying out a GroundZero LIM with either a set of stock twins or BNR Stage 3 twins, so I should be able to answer fitment questions soon. I'll also be using an electric airpump, and hopefully pass emissions with the ACV removed from the manifold.

Of course, all this will be part of an upcoming issue of RX Tuner ... the Project FD. Lots of other stuff, but you'll have to read for the rest

the LIM doesn't seem to have the appropriate passages to allow for proper primary injector difussion, why was this eliminated?

The primaries fit into the engine ports in the side plates. The plastic diffusers sit inside the engine, not the LIM. The Xcessive LIM does have the four ports but one wouldn't have to use all four or use any of them for the primaries. I would think it'd be better to use smaller than 1600cc secondaries, say 1,000 cc's in all four so the injector transition isn't so large. It also might be possible to insert the plastic diffusers in the LIM but the angle would be all wrong and it'd ruin flow.

I may be misunderstanding what you're asking, dunno.
