Hey i was wondering if anyone bought the ebay special power fc haha? Does it really come with everything you need? Even the wiring harness? Just wondering if there is any trick to why its so cheap?

It is the Japanese model. In Japan you can buy a PFC w/ commander for our gen Fd's for 600$. Ask DaiOni.

It has everythingyou need infact many people secretly use them, but don't tell anyone or the secret will be all over the place.....

I have one and it works fine, you just have to make sure you get the right one. Do a search in the ecu discussion area.

of course not, the PFC is plug and play, it uses the stock harness.

I buy mine for US$630. I've seen them for a lot cheaper - but I prefer to get them of a trusted supplier.

I bought one fully intact with commander for $700 about 6 months ago. Best deal I ever got off e-bay. Plugs right in with the stock ECU harness, but you need to disengage 4 wires on the stock harness for US vehicles. Have fun. DaiOni good advice on the reputable dealer part. If it has any problems, I might have trouble fixing it under warranty. That is the price you always pay buying overseas in my opinion, unless the seller is a authorized dealer and can warranty the product. So good look on that.

werd, I did the same thing and i think teh seller's name on ebay was like jappartsspecialist or something like that. Dont forget to disable the wires.

It appears so... if you go to the jappartsspecialist.com it actually says JPS trading ltd. Remember, ems shipping takes a good 2 or three weeks--so he's not trying to screw ya over.

Well, it definitely won't take 2 months. I was a bit impatient so my 2 weeks seemed forever. The guy actually shipped it out as soon as I sent payment, it was the damn customs that took so long.

I picked up a used one from RHDJapan.com for $550. Shipping via EMS was $30 and it took a little over a week to get there, with 4 days of that being spent in customs in Chicago.

Indeed it does. It was used by FEED in Japan and came with a stern warning that it had a modified map and great caution should be used. After hooking it up to a laptop, my buddy and I discovered the only difference was it was set to idle at 790RPM's instead of 720. We had a pretty good laugh about that after expecting some crazy single turbo setup.

Since these are JDM products, US Apexi will not honor the warranty if the product happens to fail. That's the only reason that I can think of,

The warranty means nothing. They charge you $250 to repair straight out of the box. There is no valid reason to buy anywhere else unless you enjoy wasting money.
